UVV inspection
Inspected means ready to work
The UVV inspection (German statutory safety inspection under DGUV rules) at Miet-Express is carried out by a competent person – usually every 12 months, documented with an inspection report and inspection sticker. We inspect in Lathen-Fresenburg or, on request, at your premises and on site – so your equipment stays ready to work.

Legal framework
Why regular inspection is required
Businesses must have their work equipment inspected regularly by a competent person. The basis is the German Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV), the DGUV rules and TRBS 1203. As a rule, equipment is inspected once a year.
Without a valid inspection, the machine stays idle – and in the event of damage, the business owner is liable.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How often does a UVV inspection have to be carried out?
A UVV inspection is usually due every 12 months. It is based on the German Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV), the DGUV rules and TRBS 1203. Businesses must have their work equipment inspected regularly by a competent person.
Who is allowed to carry out a UVV inspection?
A UVV inspection may only be carried out by a competent person. At Miet-Express, managing director Thomas Schotter inspects machines and equipment as a competent person in line with accident prevention requirements.
What does Miet-Express inspect as part of the UVV inspection?
The UVV inspection at Miet-Express covers construction and earthmoving machinery, forklifts, telehandlers, aerial work platforms and vehicle lifts, cranes, load-handling attachments and slings, compressors, hydraulic hose assemblies, pressure washers, scaffolding, ladders, racking, containers, loading ramps, tail lifts and powered gates.
What happens without a valid UVV inspection?
A machine without a valid UVV inspection is not ready for use: it must not be operated, and in the event of damage the business owner is liable. If the inspection has expired – usually after 12 months – the machine should stay out of use until it has been inspected.
Does Miet-Express come to me for the UVV inspection?
An on-site UVV inspection is available on request – at your premises or on construction sites throughout Emsland, from Sögel (about 13 km) to Lingen (about 39 km). Alternatively, the equipment can be brought to Lathen-Fresenburg. The more detailed the equipment list in your enquiry, the easier it is to plan the appointment.
What do I receive after the UVV inspection?
Every UVV inspection at Miet-Express ends with an inspection report and an inspection sticker. Before the next inspection is due, Miet-Express will get in touch of its own accord. Defects found during the inspection can be fixed straight away in the same appointment.
